BodyTalk is a state-of-the-art approach to integrative mind/body medicine by addressing the “whole person”. This means that all aspects of the human psyche are included be it emotional, physical or environmental.

It is a whole-healthcare system that combines Western medicine’s scientifically supported research in fields such as neuroscience, epigenetics, along with a large number of highly recognized ancient and modern healing methods and principles of knowledge, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, yoga and meditation philosophies, Chiropractic, consciousness studies and Energy Psychology.

Each system, cell, and atom is in constant communication with each other at all times. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, however, these lines of communication can become compromised or disconnected, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental well-being. Reconnecting these lines of communication enables the body’s internal mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus repairing and preventing disease while rapidly accelerating the healing process. In this way, BodyTalk stimulates the body’s innate ability to balance and heal itself on all levels.

Background of the BodyTalk System

The BodyTalk System was created by Dr. John Veltheim, an Australian chiropractor, acupuncturist, osteopath, philosopher and author. John was the principal of the Brisbane College of Acupuncture and Natural Therapies for several years. His extensive post graduate studies include: Applied Kinesiology, bio-energetic therapy, osteopathy, sports medicine, counselling and comparative philosophy. The BodyTalk system is currently being taught in over 30 countries.

How does it work?

During a Bodytalk session the practitioner facilitates communication with the innate wisdom of the body by using neuromuscular biofeedback (similar to applied kinesiology). This “innate wisdom” is the ability of the body to heal itself – like it does when we cut ourselves.
By understanding that your body has an inherent knowledge of itself, the BodyTalk Practitioner is able to quickly and easily ask your body which communication circuits need to be balanced for the fastest possible healing process to occur.
The practitioner then holds the areas that have been highlighted by the muscle testing procedure and taps gently on the head and the sternum. Tapping on the head tells the brain to ‘fix’ the faulty communication circuit and the heart to ‘store’ the fix. This activates the brain and helps to facilitate the body’s own ability to restore and maintain its optimum health.
BodyTalk can be used as a stand-alone system to treat many chronic and acute health problems, or can be seamlessly integrated with any healthcare regimen to increase its overall effectiveness. BodyTalk’s major assets are its simplicity, safety and the speed of results.
BodyTalk is non-invasive, objective in application and works effectively on humans, animals and plants alike.
